About ME

Hey Ya’ll!!! I am a believer in Christ, a mother, a first-generation college graduate, and I am proud of my Geechie/Gullah heritage!
I currently serve as assistant professor and coordinator of the Teaching English Language Learners (TELL) program at Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee.  I completed my bachelor’s degree in English at Voorhees College (Go VC!!) in Denmark, SC and a master’s degree in TESOL at The State University of New York at Stony Brook.
